Natalie Dormer
(born 11 February 1982) is an English actress. Her awards include an Empire
Award, and receiving nominations for an Critics'' Choice Award and two Gemini
Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading,
Berkshire. She was known in the role of Anne Boleyn, a role she played on the
Showtime series The Tudors (2008), that earned her acclaim. Her stage debut was
in the production Sweet Nothings (2010) and played the Duchess of York in
Madonna's movie W.E. (2011) as well as Private Lorraine in Captain America: The
First Avenger (2011). Her performance in After Miss Julie (2012) at the Young
Vic was praised. Dormer received worldwide praise and recognition for her
performances in the roles of Margaery Tyrell (2012-2016 on HBO) and Cressida
(2014-2015 on The Hunger Games), which are among her most-watched films. She
also voiced of Onica in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2018), Sara Price
Jess Price in The Forest (2016), and Irene Adler/Moriarty in the CBS series
Elementary (2013)-15. The show was well-received for her performance in Penny
Dreadful City of Angels (2020). Dormer was born in Reading (Berkshire), England
on the 11th of February, 1982. She is the daughter of Gary Dormer, Claire Richards,
and Samantha Dormer.
