Maureen O'Hara Biography

 Maureen O'Hara, an American actor and singer of Irish origin was a well-known persona. The green-eyed beauty with flaming red hair was famous for her fiery and passionate performances in a variety of American films. Her beauty and grace were well-loved. Also, she was known as'the Queen of Technicolor in Hollywood. Her roles onscreen were a reflection of her brave, strong spirit. She fought for respect and survival in a male-dominated society. She often referred to herself as the "tough Irish lass" who did not compromise her reputation and respect to be able to play the roles she wanted through merit. She stood up for injustices and unfair treatment of women actors during her film career and earned numerous supporters. Her autobiography, 'Tis Herself", which was released in 2004, provided an honest and authentic about her experience, including her difficulties in climbing the ladder to achieve success. She was an adventurous person who wasn't afraid to try her own stunts. She appeared as an actress in more than 60 films and was a pillar of fame internationally. In the wake of Parra and remarried in the year 1968 to Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a brigadier in the past, former chief pilot, and an early pioneer in transatlantic air travel, to mention several accomplishments. O'Hara eventually retired after few years of marriage. Blair, however, was killed in a tragic plane crash in the year 1978. O'Hara's happiness lasted only a few days. The same year, she was diagnosed with being a victim of uterine cancer, and was required to undergo urgent surgery. She recovered eventually. The following years her health was declining and she was diagnosed with six heart attacks, short-term memory loss and type 2 diabetes mellitus. O'Hara who was 95 years old, peacefully died in Boise on October 24, 2015.
